This is an OPEN event free for everyone - please feel free to invite and bring your friends who might be interested in Patina or just want to get to know other students and young professionals in NYC!
Movie synopsis: Joy Ride is a raunchy road-trip comedy about Audrey, a driven Chinese American lawyer adopted by white parents, who travels to China for work and brings along her wildly different best friend and a pair of equally chaotic companions. What starts as a business trip spirals into a series of outrageous misadventures that force Audrey to confront questions of identity, belonging, and assimilation.
We'll also be holding an in-depth discussion afterwards to discuss how the movie ties to the Asian-American identity (JKJK THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN WE'LL JUST BE CHILLING!)
